Advocacy 3 - Ending Racial Injustice
I am an advocate for ending racial injustice. I grew
up in a mixed race neighborhood and school system, unlike many others I'm
surrounded by today. I saw racial injustice first hand growing up, even
though 50% of my classmates were African American and Asian, all of my
teachers were white. Some of them used this as a privledge and used their
power as a student instructor to humiliate and fail students of color. I
want to adopt someday, that is one of the reasons I became an advocate for
racial injustice. You can't pick someone out because of their skin color,
it's not right nor does it make sense. I want my classroom to be a safe
place for everyone, no one should ever feel like they are different or don't
belong. I use my voice to do good and promote good for the racial injustice
community.
