What is Active Learning?

Active learning consists of the student being involved in the process of their learning. It does away with the teacher lecturing and the students sitting quielty, listening. The students are involved during discussion, activities, problem solving, experiments, and much more. It allows the students to play an active role in their own education. This approach to learning gets students excited about their education because they get to be a part of it and, sometimes, they get to choose the different activities they are performing in class.
