When is the first/last day of school?
The first day of school for the 2020-2021 school year is August 24, 2020. The last day is May 26, 2021. Please check the school calendar for further detail.

What time does school start/end?
School begins at 8a and ends at 2:50p. Please check the school schedule for further detail.

Who can pick my child up from school?
Any adult listed on the contact list that was completed during this school year's registration can pick your child up from school. A valid photo ID is required.
 
Do I have to come to the school to check my child out?
You, or an adult on the contact list that was completed during this school year's registration, are required to come to the school with a valid photo ID in order to check your child out.
 
Can I email the excuse when my child misses school?
 Yes, you may email an excuse to faulkelementaryexcuses@wmsd.net, or you may send the excuse to school with your child when they return to school.

How do I get my child's makeup assignments when they miss school?
 There are a variety of options for retrieving your child's makeup assignments. You may do any of the following:
* log in to your child's SeeSaw account
* check your child's take home folder onc they return to school
* email a request to your child's teacher
* send a note to your child's teacher
* leave a message with the school secretary
 
How do I schedule a parent/teacher conference?
Please contact your child's teacher to set up a parent/teacher conference.

How do I contact the principal?

Can I change my child's teacher? If so, how?
We request that all teachers be given the opportunity to resolve any issues that may arise but understand that sometimes that is not possible. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have questions or concerns. If this does not resolve the concern, please reach out to the school principal.

Who do I contact if I do not want my child to participate in a school activity?
You may reach out to your child's teacher, the school counselor, the vice principal, or the principal.

How do I know that I am getting everything that my child's teacher is sending home?
Check your child's take-home folder as well as the announcements page. If you still feel you're not recieving everything, you are welcome to reach out to your teacher.

Will the school provide meals on virtual & summer days?
The school will provide meals on all virtual & summer days as long as they are available.

When is the school book fair?
Bookfairs are held in October & March each year. Due to Covid, we will have virtual book fairs this year. Please check the school Facebook page for more information. Your child will also bring home a flyer closer to time.
