Parental Involvement

Parental involvement is when a parent/guardian/adult who is a relative gets involved in a student's life/academic life. More specifically, it references the amount of time the parent spends supporting their child's academics.

Parental involvement and family engagement are extremely important because it has a direct impact on a child's success in academics. Furthermore, students with parents who are very involved in their schoolwork and school functions tend to do much better than others. Even reading to your child could help he or she achieve much higher goals.
