Why You Should Adopt An Animal from a Shelter

Every year, many animals pass away because they were unable to find their forever home. In fact, over 2 million dogs and cats are euthanized solely because not enough people realize their best friend could be waiting for them at an animal shelter. There are so many great reasons as to why you should adopt from an animal shelter when adding on to your family, those reasons including the cost being cheaper (a lot of times spay/neuter and vaccinations are included in the adoption price), many of the animals in shelters are already housetrained (but don’t worry, for those looking for a puppy, there are plenty of puppies too!!), it helps fight puppy mills, and you’ll be saving an animal’s life. The next time you are considering adding a new four-legged member to your family, please stop by your local shelter and say hello to all the animals there. They will be happy to see you.
