1. What is the best way to contact Ms. Capps?

The best way to contact me is via email: kennedy.capps@smail.astate.edu. I will respond as quickly as I can, usually during my planning time or lunch break. Usualy, I will not be able to respond to emails during class time as I am typically not at my desk. I will try to respond to you after hours if I am able, but it is not promised. If an emergency arises, please contact the school office and our secretary will help you from there.

2. My child was absent today, can I still access their homework so they don't get behind?

4. It's my child's birthday, can I bring cupcakes for the class to celebrate?

Jonesboro Public School policy prohibits special snacks unless it is a specified party day, so unfortunately, no, bringing cupcakes for the entire class to celebrate it not allowed. You may always bring a special lunch to eat with your student during lunch time any day.

5. My child is a picky eater, what is the lunch menu for this week?

6. What activities does my child go to?

We go to special classes first thing in the morning, from 8:10-8:50. On Monday's we go to Art. Tuesday's we go to Music. Wednesday and Friday we go to P.E. On thursday's we go to Library. Additionally, on Monday's we go to Canes from 11:40-12:10, and we go to Spanish on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00-2:30.

7. How can I keep up with my student's grades?

you can contact the front office to receive eSchool log-in information to view your child's grades. Also, progress reports will be sent out every 5 weeks, and report cards every 9 weeks.

8. How do I know what you are doing in class with my child?

I recieved my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Arkansas State University. I also intend to complete my Masters in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
