How do I help my child with Technology and I know very little about it?
There are so many resources online. One great resource is a website called healthy children I have hyperlinked it where you see the font change color. This website will be very benefical to help you assit your child with any project they may have to complete with technology. Also, please reach out to me by e-mail if you have any futher questions. I am always happy to help.
How can my child be successful in school?
Parent/Teacher communitcation is so important. I send home weekly reports, updating you on you childs progress in class. If there are issues that need to be addressed immediatley I will always reach out to you be e-mail or a phone call. Your childs success is of the utmost importance. Please work with your child on turning homework in on time, studying for tests, and getting enough rest at night. If you do these three things I know this year will be great.
Where can we go for extra homework help?
You can always e-mail me with specific questions. But there are some great cites out there that can really be benifical. I will list some of those cites below. If you will look under the student tab on the home page, I have listed numberous cites fo reach specific subject area. If futher help is needed I can suggest some great tutors that work fo rthe school system. Hope this helps.
What extra curricular activities can my child be invovled in outside of the classroom?
I am Hernando little Tigers cheerleaders sponser and I would love to work with your child. Sign ups are in the fall, there is also a football team that boys can sign up to play for. Rec baseball sign ups are at the end of the fall semster around Chrsitmas time. I will link the HYFA page below. If sports aren't your childs thing there is always a need for sommunity service volunteers, we have a wonderful Interact club here at Hernando Hills Elementary. These students get the opprotunity to fundraise for Autism Awareness, St.Jude children's Researh Hospital, and Breast cancer research.
