Exercise |
We all know that in this technology driven
age, less students are recieving the correct amount of exercise
everyday and obesity rates are rising. Incorporating exercise into
the classroom will greatly help this problem. Children and
adolescents should be recieving a minimum of 60 minutes of exercise
everyday. Even small bouts of exercise have been proven to help
children perform better academically. Students learn through muscle
memory. Learning while moving helps students retain information.
Also, a taking a break from academics to exercise for a minute is
beneficial in helping kids learn. Short breaks for exercise help
students both mentally and physically. It has also been proven that
standing burns more calories than sitting, so get kids on their
feet. If you get children in a healthy routine of exercise while
they are young, they will carry it with them for the rest of their
lives. |
