Copyright/ Fair Use:

Copyright is to protect each student’s work
along with the work of other individuals.
2.
Fair Use is a legal doctrine that portions of
copyrighted materials may be used without permission of the copyright owner
provided the use is fair and reasonable, does not substantially impair the
value of the materials, and does not curtail the profits reasonably expected
by the owner.
3.
Copyright is the exclusive legal right, given
to an originator or an assignee to print, publish, perform, film, or record
literary, artistic, or musical material, and to authorize others to do the
same.
Consequences of
Copyright/Fair Use:
1.
First Offense- Student will be reminded of
what copyright and fair use is, then be offered the chance to redo the
assignment
2.
Second Offense- Student will be given a zero
for the assignment.
3.
Third Offense- Student will be given a zero,
a parent will be called and sent to the office.
