How can I stay involved with my student throughout the school year?

Parent involvement is strongly encouraged in every aspect of your child’s learning. I will have classroom volunteer opportunities for parents posted in the monthly newsletter, which can be accessed by clicking here. Outside of the classroom, I recommend helping your child on their homework as needed, and reading books to them as much as possible.

Can I bring outside treats into the classroom to celebrate my child’s birthday?

Absolutely! A few things to remember before bringing treats is how many students are in the classroom, the allergy list sent home at the beginning of the year, and that all treats MUST be store bought. If you have any specific questions regarding this, or need another allergy list, please email me at ashley.chandler@smail.astate.edu.
