Copyright Rules 

1. If a student is caught copying another students work this is breaking copyright law.

2.      Fair Use is a legal doctrine that allows portions of copyrighted materials to be used without permission of the copyright owner provided the use is fair and reasonable.

3.      Copyright is the exclusive legal right, given to an originator or an assignee to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material, and to authorize others to do the same.

Consequences

1.      First Offense- Student will be reminded of what copyright and fair use is, then be offered the chance to redo the assignment

2.      Second Offense- Student will be given a zero for the assignment.

3.      Third Offense- Student will be given a zero and the parents will be called.
