Online Safety
Just as general safety is important within my classroom, so is the safety of my students while they are online. In my class, students have learned not to share their personal information while they are on the internet, and to not talk to strangers. We must teach our children to use technology safely and carefully, in order to avoid safety issues online. Students will learn how to identify when a page is unusual or untrustworthy throughout the year.
How can I keep my child safe while they are online?
1. Help them create strong passwords, and keep them private.
2. Keep the technology in a common area in your home.
3. Remind them to steer clear of strangers!
4. Make sure they keep their personal information, PERSONAL.
5. Make sure you have set rules with your child, so that that know exactly what they can and cannot do.
