Play is a very important part of learning in the academic environment.
By having play time you are ensuring that schools are allowing kids and
opportunity for social and emotional development. Children also during
this time are developing cognitive development as well. Play is
unscheduled time that allows for peer interactions which are extremely
important components of social-emotional learning. Play time also makes
children happier and improves concentration during lessons. Today
children spend long periods of time at school each day, which can affect
their concentration levels and performance. Children have to have breaks
and need breaks during the school day to be able to recharge their
