1.)     What is the best way to contact you?

The best way is by my email: sara.keene@smail.astate.edu I will try to respond as fast as I can. Please be aware I will not answer my email after 6pm M-F and on weekends I will not respond after 1pm.

2.)    Do I allow kids to bring in birthday treats?

Yes, but I need a 24 hour in advance notice, to ensure that there are not allergens or tree nuts contained in the treat. All treats must be store bought.

3.)    When is parent/teacher conferences ?

I will hold those at the end of each 9 weeks section. If you feel like you need to meet with me sooner, please let me know and we can get one scheduled.

4.)   My kid was absent today, how do I know what he missed?

In the classroom the next day your kid will have a makeup packet to pick up and complete. It will be due one week from the day it is picked up.

5.)    How do I get involved in my child’s learning?

There is a weekly newsletter that is sent out every Monday, I also have an open door if you would like to come and observe.

6.)    Can I eat lunch with my child?

Yes! Please call the front office beforehand so we can have a table set up for you and your child.

7.)    How do I view my child’s grades?

At the start of the year a username and password login will be assigned and handed to you at open house if you misplace it – please email me and I can resend it.

8.)    How do I purchase stuff you the classroom?

Please email me and I will respond with what I need.

9.)    If my child needs to change their transportation after school what should I do?

Call the front office and tell them the change, they will verify it and tell your child the way that they need to go home.

10.)  When do you give test?

I normally give tests on Thursdays and Fridays.
