Digital Access
Digital Access is about giving all children an equal opportunity to use technology in the classroom. While different schools have different opportunities available for technology use, digital access makes sure each child in the same classroom have equitable access.
The technology rich world we live in is constantly evolving. Parents and teachers alike want nothing but the best for their children. In preparing the youth to become successful in society, it's imperative that encourage the use of technology if available.
Not only does digital access mean giving each child in the class equal opportunity to use technology, it means we must accommodate any child needing supports while accessing technology. Whether the child has physical or mental ailments, vision impairments, or hearing impairments, the child will not be left out. At home, the parents of these children might not be able to offer the supports needed to have access. It is our job to make sure these children have the same opportunity as the other children.
