Plagiarism
Plagiarism is a topic in all schools. From our middle school years, we heard teachers talking about plagiarism: copying someone elses work for your own. Although this is a plagiarism definition, plagiarism covers more than just copying another's work. For this reason, as children grow older, they are often still confused about the real meaning of plagiarism. It covers things such as not using quotations, changing words and using the same sentence structure, copying ideas, and using most of the words or ideas from a source. Doing all of these things without giving credit to the source is plagiarizing. If any student is unsure about their work they should definitely ask a teacher. It is better to know from the beginning or even right before it's due than to turn it in and receive a zero for plagiarizing.
