Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying - bullying that takes place over digital devices like cell phones, computers, and tablets. The most common places that it occurs is social media (Facebook, Twitter), text messages, and emails. Cyberbullying includes sending, posting, or sharing negative, harmful, false, or mean content about someone else.

What makes cyberbullying so important is that it is not "in the open" like traditional bullying. Teachers and parents may never know cyberbullying is happening if we are not looking out for it.

If cyberbullying occurs, it is important to take immidiate steps to document the incident(s) and report it to the proper authorities.
