Speech Disorders

A speech disorder is when a person has problems creating sounds that are needed when they are trying to communicate with others. Common speech disorders can include stuttering and lisp. Speech disorders are common so it is important to bring awareness to them and awareness to the treatment options if wanted. This is important for me because I went to speech therapy untill I was in 5th grade and still struggle sometimes in different situations. It is important that individuals who struggle know that it is okay and we need to be teaching people that do not struggle with speech disorders that there is no reason to mock or look down on people who struggle speaking. Below are some links to resources about speech disorders.
