Cyberbullying |
Cyberbullying is bullying someone else over communication using
digital devices, such as, cellular phone, computers, iPads, and video
games. For instance, sending messages that are hurtful or
threatening another student. This includes posting hurtful or
harmful messages on social media or over text.
Teachers and parents should be aware of what the child/student is participating in online. It is important to make sure our children are using the internet appropriately. The children should be informed of the consequences of cyberbullying and how it affects others. If a student has become a victim of cyberbullying within my classroom, I need to be the first that is informed. I will take immediate action to take care of the problem. If I am not available at the time of the incident, please inform another adult what has happened. Here are some links about cyberbullying and how to prevent it from happening at school or at home.
