Parent AUP |
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This year in our class we will be
following what is called an Acceptable Use Policy or AUP. An AUP is a
set of rules and guidelines that students will be expected to abide by
during this school year. This includes rules for general behavior in the
classroom as well as rules for using technology and the Internet at
school. Consequences for breaking these rules are also listed. AUPs are
both effective and helpful for maintaining a safe, efficient, and
enjoyable classroom, while also teaching students about accountability.
In case you would like to implement an AUP at home, I have a template
available for you to make your own AUP for at home rules. The template
is linked below. I highly encourage this and have seen how useful it can
be both at home and at school! Thank you, Kaitlin Ponder
