Ending Childhood Cancer
Cancer is one of the words that can fill people with dread. Many families in America have been touched by it. The most heartbreaking is when a child develops cancer. However, the rate of surviving childhood cancer has increased drastically in the last 40 years due to research centers like St. Jude hospital. The hospital itself is 100% free for all of the families that have to stay there through funding by donations. Not only are their bills funded through donations, the research materials and education for future doctors is also funded by donations. When someone donates to St. Jude, they are donating towards finding a cure. In the 50 plus years that St. Jude has been open, they have cured many children, but they will continue their research until they can provide a cure for all forms of cancer.
