Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the act of using another person's words/ideas without giving credit to that person's work.

This includes:

Copying someone else's work word from word without giving them credit
Claiming someone else's work as your own
Copying from someone else's work in or outside of class
Using the same work for two different assignments without permission from your teacher
At the beginning of the year, we will learn all the different forms of plagiarism and how you can correctly cite sources for assignments to avoid plagiarism. After each assignment, if work is turned in and it has been plagiarized, it will be returned to the student to redo and learn from their mistake. If plagiarism persists, meetings will be held to discuss this action's seriousness and take steps to teach the student how not to plagiarize.
