In order to have stability between the classroom and home life of your student, the creation of an at home AUP for he/she is strongly recommended. Just as in the classroom, safety when using technology or the internet is extremely important even at home. By having an AUP set forth in the home it allows you as the parent or guardian to enforce guidelines for your student to follow to ensure they are being safe when on any site or when using any form of technology. It is important to understand that an AUP is not only for the can not’s but also for the can dos. I am providing a template that you are welcome to use if you choose to for your “At Home AUP” where you can create your own rules and consequences as you see needed for your student.
