Animals are apart of our everyday lives whether we like it or not. Dogs in particular do more services than we even realize. The provide individuals with service dogs to help with their individual disabilities. People depend on these animals to enhance their livelihood and get through the day without their disabilities getting in the way. They also provide the service in forensic services, sniffing out DNA or finding lost individuals. Despite these amazing efforts, not every dog gets treated in such a fashion with a roof over their head, food in their bowl and a caring guardian. They can even be abused or killed by their owner. I believe that dogs provide us with services that are so crucial and no other resource could provide us with. For this reason alone in enough for me to strongly support abandoned dogs and the dogs that provide us with services.
