Teacher Inovlement

Teachers play such a huge role in their students' lives. Teachers guide, support, help, encourage, observe, and grow alongside their students. Teachers also allow their students to mess up, make mistakes, start over, and learn from them. As a teacher, my desire is to be supportive, patient, and kind at all times. My students are always watching and I want them to grow from what they learn from their sweet year with me.

I also want to be more than my student’s teacher, but also their friend. I want to get to know my students and get to know what they like and don’t like. It is important to me to have a relationship with each child so that I can see when they are having a bad day or when they are frustrated and we can work through that together. I want to work all year on being intentional in knowing my students so that they are comfortable with me and with their classmates. This will make the year run much more smoothly because I will respect them and they will respect me. Research shows that students do better academically when they have a comfortable and positive relationship with their teacher.
