Cyberbullying

Bullying is not tolerated in our school district. This does not only mean physical altercations, but cyberbullying is included as well. When we are using the internet to interact with others, we may not see their face and think that our comments do not hurt. However, just as it would hurt if someone physically spoke mean words to me, it would hurt just as much behind a screen. In my classroom, we follow the golden rule with everyone, even including on the internet. Students will be accountable for their actions online. As the mentor, I will keep account of when students are on the internet. If your student becomes a victim of cyberbullying they are to come to me with the message and action will be taken. Please if it continues or follows them home please let me know immediately. If our students are the cause of cyberbullying, we need to sit down and teach them the affects of cyberbullying.
