Structure and a positive environment is always needed when dealing with students. The same thing goes with technology, you need to set rules in place for the use of technology and you need to specify the do's and don'ts while using it. If a student is caught using technology inappropriately then their punishment will lay with administration. Making sure there is a positive environment should help with this sort of behavior. For example, during technology time I have set no rules and it is a negative environment of me yelling at everyone. That is an environment that will be filled with chaos and destruction. Now I have a room with rules and a positive environment, and the students are listening and I am smiling and everyone is doing what they are supposed to. That is an environment that is healthy and where students can focus.
