Cyberbullying

Cyberullying is the act of slandering, harassing, or belittling someone else through communication online. This can be done through websites, social media apps, or through sending messages. Statistics shows that when cyberbullying occurs,  in majority of the cases, it is not reported to parents or law enforcements by victims. Cyberbullying can lead to embarassment, low self esteem, and has even lead to suicide in some cases.

It is a known fact that many rude statements that are made online would not be made if they were said in person to others. If you exerience cyberbullying or know of someone that has, please tell your parents or guardian. If you do not feel comfortable telling anyone in your family or law enforcement, please contact me immediately. Do not to do anything that would label you as a bully in return by responding harshly. When being cyberbullied, respond in a calm manner to stop further escalation of the matter. I am an advocate for all students using the Internet with intergrity. Because of these beliefs, I encourage students and parents to view the following websites to learn more about cyberbullying and ways to act against it.
