Dear Parents and Guardians,

              This year for our class, we will be following what is called an Acceptable Use Policy, AUP for short. An AUP is a set of rules that my students will be expected to follow throughout the duration of the school year. These are rules for our general classroom, as well as rules surrounding the various technological opportunities for your children while at school. Consequences for breaking these rules can be found under the "Class Policy" tab on the "Acceptable Use Policy" homepage. AUPs are useful for making your child's educational journey safe, enjoyable, efficient and structured. AUPs teach students accountability within the classroom and hold them to the standard that they agreed to. If you would like, I have linked an AUP template for you to make rules for you home. I highly encourage this, because I have seen the benefits of how helpful it can be at school and also at home.
